A star at the nationals, the 2013 Syrah really has it all. More in control than the massive 2012, the florals and the pretty red and peppery black fruit aromas are inviting. The attack is juicy, awash in fresh blueberry fruit and spice. Dense but nimble and seemingly in control, with perfect balance, this will have a long life. Don’t be fooled by the current delicious notes, this will get better in bottle over the next three to five years. Lamb anyone?
